Visit a llama breeding centre.
The llama as a work of art!
20 years of passion have led Var Lamas to gather one of the most prestigious collections of llamas, in a 3-hectare park in Carnoules. Between 10 and 15 baby llamas are born here every year. The visit lets you enter the intimacy of the herd, with no fences or barriers. Var Lamas is open year-round for visits by appointment. Tours are guided by the breeder and last between 1.5 and 2 hours, with 3 workshops in contact with the llamas.

The parking area, shaded by pine trees, and the souvenir shop offering farm products, make for a peaceful visit.

The family story
Benjamin and Aurélie have been breeding woolly llamas for more than 18 years. Over the years, they have built one of Europe's finest genetically selected llama herds, bringing together Chilean, Peruvian, Argentine and Bolivian bloodlines from imports. Their farm also includes Suri llamas, a type once revered by the Incas for the exceptional quality of its wool. Only a few thousand remain in the world today. The farm adventure began in Six-Fours before settling, in July 2026, in Carnoules, on the edge of the Toulon area, in the heart of the Var, on a domain of more than 3 hectares. It is in this natural setting that these remarkable animals are raised, renowned for the exceptional fineness of their wool. Open to the public, the Var Lamas farm invites young and old to share Benjamin and Aurélie's passion for these fascinating animals. It offers an immersive, initiatory visit at the heart of one of Europe's finest woolly llama herds - an authentic experience.
Our visitors say it better than we do:
